COVID-19 Announcement

UPDATE 4/2/2020:

To our SPS community,
Out of an abundance of caution for our clients and employees, we are requiring anybody on the property to use a face covering (mask/bandana) and gloves at all times.
As a reminder, riders may arrive at their rides times (not before) and meet their horse at the mounting block. Post-ride, they must give horses directly back to the groom and go to the parking lot. Boarders checking in to care for their horse must limit their time on the property to one hour per day.Everyone must check-in at the main entrance with our gate monitor to be signed in and have their temperature checked. Anyone who is unable to follow these new safety measures will not be allowed on the property.

During the COVID-19 Safer at Home order, SPS management is asking boarders to limit time spent at the barn to absolutely necessary activities. Every extra person who comes to the barn puts our essential staff at risk, such as stall grooms and training grooms. If one of our employees tests positive for COVID-19, our entire essential staff could be self-quarantined. We cannot afford to lose our essential staff.

Our grooms are working everyday to walk horses (and lunge as footing permits). If you are not in grooming and need to be at the barn to walk your horse, please limit time spent to 45 minutes and do not use a groom’s crossties or equipment.

We realize that it is tempting to socialize at the barn while shops, restaurants, schools, and workplaces are closed, but this puts our hard-working staff and other clients directly at risk. Please respect our employees and horses by limiting your barn time to only crucial activities. If you are able to stay home, please do. Minors cannot be at the barn without a parent right now.

If you are not an employee or do not have a horse at the barn, please do not visit San Pascual Stables at this time. We are working with the city to safely reopen soon, but will only be able to do this with your immediate cooperation.

Thank you.
